When the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra plays “The Nightmare Before Christmas” on Halloween, how can I resist dressing up for the afternoon performance? This dress was made (with my horribly rudimentary sewing skills) using scraps of fabric from other projects — including large swaths of shiny black fabric leftover from last year’s Lin-Manuel Miranda-as-Alexander Hamilton costume. No worries, I’m leaving the clothes designing to the real pros. 😉
