Meet the Artists: Behind the scenes

Posted on

As they say, it takes a village — and in the case of the annual Meet the Artists fashion show, it takes dozens of makeup and hair artists, stylists, designers and models. Let me take you behind the scenes of this year’s runway show (in photo form, of course!), held at the Central Library in downtown Indianapolis.

Can you imagine a full makeup and hair salon set up in the children’s area of the Central Library? (If not, here’s proof.)

When you visit the Central Library during Meet the Artists season, don’t forget to check directly behind the escalators on the first floor. Several designers featured in the runway show have styled a set of mannequins, including this recycled-leather-and-denim look by D. Lamont.

Miss out on the Opening Gala Reception and its fashion show? Good news: You still have a chance to check out the Meet the Artists exhibits through March 25.

NOTE: Feel free to DM me (indydressed on IG) with any missing names for the captions and I’ll edit them.
